AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Oct 1 (TIWNChief minister Biplab Kumar Deb while addressing on Tuesday in the Dairy development fair 2019 organised by Animal resource development at Hapania, Agartala said that it is unfortunate that 11,00 crores flows outside the state annually in dairy trade and it has to be stopped. He urged the Dairy companies to follow up, to create milk collection chain like Amul which has now extended its branch in Assam, and Sudha dairy in Bihar. He asked not to follow old ways of the old government. Chief minister talked about being trolled in Social media about his announcement to distribute 10,000 cattles to 5,000 families. "Why only govt jobs has to be highly respected?," asked Biplab.

Tripura has to have entrepreneural mindset and not only seek after govt jobs.  "No work is big or small. I want a Swabhimani Tripura," he said. Chief minister stressed on maintaining and timely vaccinating of cattles, only then they will be producing 5-8 litres of milk within 9-10 months. He also said that after the new government arrived, the milk production has increased. He said about the data being recorded that many individuals took loans for rearing cattle and have started their own businesses. In 2017-18, total milk production was 1, 74, 660 metric tonne, whereas in 2018-19 it is 1,83,9260 metric tonne.

Shri Deb pointed out on data being not updated after the distribution of pigs, goats, cattles, hen, fish feeds etc as to how many people are really benefitting from it or they have sold to other people as they actually do not have pond. Chief minister urged to the officials to go do surveys on these matters even after distribution. "If the datas would be upto date, then in 25 years minimum 200-300 crores would be saved", expressed Shri Deb.

"Business does not grow by fund, you have to have the knack of it, " saying this Shri Deb spoke about Modi ji's understanding about business where he reduced corporate tax from 35 to 25‰ by accepting the loss of 1,42,000 crores and as a result the sensex increased. And it is hoped that within 2.5 years, 7-8 lakh crores will flow to the Indian markets.

He also announced that the Tripura Veterinary College got affiliated by the Veterinary Council of India which was pending since long. And that Teacher Internship Allowance of Tripura Veterinary College has been increased from Rs.1,300 to Rs.8,000 to encourage them. He also expressed his happiness that 14,680 ducklings were distributed successfully to 734 beneficiaries through Animal Resource Development and the ducks which were distributed in first phase are now laying eggs.

Apart from the Chief minister, Vice chairman of State Planning Board R. K Mathur, Members of State Planning Board B. K Joshi, Special Secretary (ARDD) Shailendra Singh, Mla (Bamutia) Sbriy Krishnadhan Das and other govt officials were present on this day.
