AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday after election result out has congratulated Congress State President Pradyot Manikya for brining Congress in second position saying, “Personally, I respect Maharaja Pradyot Manikya”.At the same time, Biplab Deb took a dig at Communist leaders saying they are the main conspirators and today people have taught them a lesson. In Tripura BJP has won two seats out of two. Congress is in second position whereas Communist Party of India has downed at third position. Taking background of the West Bengal, Biplab Deb has challenged Trinamool Supremo, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee that her “Lompho-Jompo” (leap jump) will end soon. “Mamata Banerjee didn’t allow PM Modi’s helicopter to land in Bengal and even four of my rallies were allegedly banned”, said Deb.However, Congress, CPI-M both have alleged massive violence ongoing across state, whereas Prdayot Manikya said, “I never saw such level of violence in Tripura. It was only seen in West Bengal earlier”.

With the BJP set for a landslide victory in the national elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today thanked the nation in a tweet and praised party workers for their "determination, perseverance and hardwork". The PM said that "together we will build a strong and inclusive India". Leads show that PM Modi's BJP will again get a clear majority on its own by winning 294 seats, which is better than the 282 seats it had won in the 2014 general elections.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance or NDA is ahead in 345 seats, leads show, while the Congress-led UPA is leading in 91 seats. In 2014, the NDA had won 336. It was the first time in more than three decades that a single party won majority on its own. 

BJP chief Amit Shah today said the massive win is the victory of PM Modi's development and the people's trust in him. 

"This victory is India's victory. This is the victory of the hopes of youths, the poor, and farmers. This massive win is the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development and the people's trust in him. On the behalf of crores of BJP workers, I congratulate Narendra Modi," Amit Shah tweeted.
