AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Increasing attacks on journalists in Tripura has hit state’s law and order.
In Dharmanagar, photographers were attacked by ruling BJP supporters after they were recording videos of BJP’s attack on electoral officer.
However, to save the BJP miscreants after they attacked on journalists and sector officers, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly MLA Biswabandhu Sen has been striving day-night.
He said, police could avoid the lathi charge process and there was no need of lathi charge in that situation.
Calling a press conference, Biswabandhu Sen directly blamed police for lodging case against BJP supporters claiming them as “innocent” whereas footage of the held incident clearly exposed the BJP supporters were attacking journalists on 18th April.
The two BJP miscreants who caught in camera while beating presiding officers and attacking journalists are : 1) Hirak Nath, 2) Sidhhartha Chakraborty.
In last one week 7 journalists were attacked.
