RBSK to ensure early detection of defects in infants

AGARTALA, October 6, 2014 (TIWN): “Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram” (RBSK) started its journey in Tripura last February onwards. And the same will ensure facilities for proper diagnosis and treatment of the infants who will born with early detection of birth defects, diseases, deficiencies, development delays including disability, informed Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zila Parishad, Dilip Das. While speaking in a workshop of National Health Mission (NHM) at Pragya Bhawan he said: “To achieve a hundred percent success in the NHM , we shall have to work collectively and as we had got success in literacy campaign through joint effort of the elected representatives and administrative functionaries we will also repeat the same in case o NHM”.

NHM was launched by Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson (UPA) in the year 2013.Nearly One year later the same came in force in Tripura. The initiative is to provide comprehensive healthcare and improve the quality of life of children through early detection of birth defects, diseases, deficiencies, development delays including disability.

In his speech DM (West) asked all the health workers to be more cordial to the patients. IN the year 2005 National Rural Health Mission Was launched to make the health facilities available at the every nook and corner of nation. The same was transformed into National Health Mission (NHM) in the year 2013.
