From that side, I would say that Tripura voters thought that a new Govt will bring more changes and give people better facilities. But under democracy the BJP has announced a total war against opposition. Total 485 Leftist Party offices have been burnt from March 3rd to October 31st. From Govt side 164 party offices have been bulldozed. Trade Union offices in total 191 numbers have been attacked and 21 were broken. Apart from party offices 50 shops were broken, 2346 houses were burnt, attacked, 226 shops were attacked, loot incidents held in total 227 numbers, rubber gardens burnt 56, car/ bike burnt 67, 1284 people were attacked, 173 were hospitalized with severe injuries, 5 CPI-M party members were killed". Dhar further criticized the joblessness condition of unemployed youths and communal disharmony, donation collection under BJP-ruling.
"BJP has simply blueprinted a plan to demolish the opposition parties in Tripura. Democracy means various parties will hold their democratic practices, but here in Tripura all have been destroyed. Their aim is to destroy the CPI-M party's root", he added.
"CPI-M will fight to restore the democracy and to protest for people's right. We have accepted the defeat. At the very beginning inside the Assembly and outside the Assembly we said that Tripura CPI-M will help the Govt in constructive way, BJP's unending war against CPI-M is leading massive attacks. But people are resented on Govt. They are deprive of basic rights. People's participation in protests are also increasing", he added.
