AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): High prices of vegetables are creating heavy troubles for the customers to maintain the household budgets.
Markets which are dependent upon Shillong products are burning with skyrocketing prices. The businessmen at Gol Bazar has said, due to flood, local vegetables were damaged which is nowgr leading heavy prices.
Businessmen at Gol Bazar said, "We are bound to buy our products from Shillong by compromising tastes as local products are seeking double price. If green chilli, price is Rs. 60 which came from Shillong, but Tripura's local green chillis are of Rs. 120 and in all commodities, in similar way prices are high. Thus we are collecting products from Shilling".
