CPI-M alleged over 100 attacks upon party activists since BJP in power : Concerns on Law & Order ahead of upcoming Lok Sabha Election

AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): CPI-M Central Committee has alleged over 100 of attacks in BJP ruled Tripura in last 8 months. Tripura CPI-M also conducted a State Committee meeting in the Melarmath Party Office, reviewed the ongoing situation allover the state. However, Tripura is undergoing law and order issues amid various crisis situation created allover due to joblessness, workless situations. CPI-M General Secretary Sitarama Yechury holding a press conference alleged, that more than hundred attacks had taken place against its cadre in Tripura since the BJP came to power in the state in March."Since the formation of BJP-IPFT government, attacks on CPI(M) workers and their families have taken place in multifarious manners, including outright murder", he said. "More than 100 such attacks have taken place since March this year, although the booklet prepared by politburo member Brinda Karat documents 70 of these incidents", Sitaram Yechury said.The booklet, titled 'Democracy Under Attack - Testimonies from Triupura', is set to be based on interviews of affected party workers and their family members.

“Tripura shows the real face of BJP. 5 of CPI-M supporters were killed in Tripura, but as soon as human blood will be red, red flag will not go down. In Tripura, BJP’s attack will also be defeated”, Yechury added.

Brinda Karat while addressing media, slammed the BJP Govt that when state is suffering from crisis situation, BJP-IPFT Govt is unable to control law and order and both the parties are spreading communal disruptions statewide.
