AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): After lying so many times saying 7th Pay Commission has been given to Govt employees, pensioners, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb after one month of Party/ Govt's fake claim about 7th CPC cleared his stand saying, "7th Pay Commission has not been given, but the scale was given. As a result a Group-D employee from the beginning is getting Rs. 18,000". However, data says, not at all scale was also given as the BJP Govt has merely increased 14% of the whole salary of the employees under 0.32 factor. No DA, No allowance was given so far, neither the hiked amount has been given till now. Recently BJP Govt announced, from January, 2019 employees will get the benefits, even though it was promised from October-2018 the effect will be given. Before the election BJP promised from 2016-January the effect will be given but a JUMLA under "Tripura Pay Matrix" was given to the employees/pensioners.

Addressing in Gazetted Officers meet conducted at Nazrul Kalakshetra today, the Chief Minister said, "7th Pay Commission sounds nice, but Manik Sarkar left nothing in the treasury".

However, when in Durga Puja speeches CM told common men that "It's only and only 7th Pay Commission has been given to the employees, pensioners, but in Gazetted Officers meet conducted at Nazrul Kalakshetra today, the Chief Minister could not lie anymore and said that he accepts the fact of 7th Pay Commission could not be given but "scale" has been given and regarding why he promised 7th Pay Commission before election, Biplab Deb said, "I was trusting Manik Sarkar's Golden Era phrase. I heard that Tripura has been undergoing Golden Era and his name is also Manik (Jewel), but as soon as I assumed the power Finance Secretary (former Finance Secretary M Nagaraju) told about thousands of debts and deficits the State Govt is burdened with". "Now people would ask me, why BJP continued to assure that 7th Pay Commission will be given to employees / pensioners before Assembly Election ? But did I know the condition of the treasury is like this ?"

Noteworthy, Verma Committee has said that since 2014 (Modi Govt) the funding decreased. Committee report says, "It is observed that the receipt from the Central Government started falling after 2014-15 and obviously it has severely affected the finances of the State Government.
