AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Udaipur Matabari will be decorated with lighting, flowers and has received new colours keeping the Diwali in front.
Various meetings and planning have been taken by the administration in this regard. Chief Minister Biplab Deb also held a meeting recently with officials today at Gomati District Office. Security across the Matabari area will be tightened due to Diwali which is to celebrated from Oct-7.
A preparatory meeting was held recently at Udaipur subdivision of Gomati Dist for Diwali recently. During the meeting it was accepted that this year the number of travelers in Diwali may increase. However, enough number of CCTV cameras will be provided this year.
Last year the crowed had surpassed 3 lakhs. Security will be tightened further keeping the election ahead and to avoid any untoward incident during Diwali more number of police officials to be deployed at there.
Matabari premise remains now in full festive temperament with them illumination of lighting, long line of devotees, crowd at food stalls, "peda" sweet shops, hotels making delicious food items for devotees. Long queues of devotees, sadhus, children, chanting of religious songs filled air with festivities. This year Diwali to be celebrated on Oct 19.
