AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): Tripura's massive unemployment rate is now skyrocketing with 9 % more unemployment rate was recorded than the last month (July-2018). According to "Bombay Stock Exchange" which is the most popular Indian stock exchange located at Dalal Street, Mumbai has ranked Tripura again as topper but with a sharp rising data of 9 % more unemployed youths in last one month, fueled by the ongoing terminations, workless, jobless situations. Established in 1875, the BSE is Asia’s first stock exchange has released the data. According to BSE, In November 2017 unemployment rate was 8.19% in December 2017 13.25 % in January 2018 (Pre-Election time) the unemployment rate was 20.09 % which raised in February (election month) 30.33 %, then worst at March with 15.16 %, April 13.64, then in May 23.93 %, June 22.82 % but July it slightly downed at 17.98 % but led disaster in August with 28.60. On the other side, contractual employees terminations have fueled massive tension.

At the same time TPSC led recruitments of the last 2 years were postponed which have affected 8000 youths more as the recruitments may be cancelled too according to the ongoing trends.

Tripura's top-ranking is however continuing from last few financial years. However, the ruling govt has alleged a total collapse of state economy in the last 20-30 years where govt job was kept as the single option for livelihood. In this situation, how far the new govt will be able to invite industrialists and manage foreign investments in state, it’s the most challenging job for the govt.

Moreover, with the increasing graduates years after years the unemployment tolls are raising further, but existing recruitments were cancelled by the Govt.

On the other side, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has remained strict to his remark after paan-shop and cow-breeding controversies and on April month he said, “The attitudes towards earning have to be changed. Because the left govt couldn’t change the attitudes among youths, thus they created around 7 lakh of unemployed youths in the state. Job doesn’t mean to work in a corporate sector. Tripura Govt is now working to provide 3000 jobs in 100 days. So, govt is trying to change the attitude of the youths towards livelihood”.

However, attitude of youths yet to be changed as Biplab Deb wants but unemployment tolls are going high and high.
