AGARTALA, Aug 16 (TIWN): Alleging all the accused persons have been released in Tamal Das murder case, NSUI have placed a deputation to West District SP Ajit Pratap Singh demanding proper investigation in the murder case.

However, police said the main accused Tushar Saha was arrested long back and already in Jail Custody and recently his uncle who is the Police Officer at AD Nagar PS was also arrested. 

The incident took place Friday evening when is Tamal Das, S/O-Kamal Das, resident of Kabiraj Tilla. was allegedly called by Tushar Saha and beaten over his head. For two days Tamal left in coma and on Tuesday he breathed his last.

Tamal’s friends said, "Tamal was called by Ajay Sukla Das and his nephew Tushar Saha and planwise they had beaten him to coma, whereas he could beat Tamal in other parts of the body. Tamal went for tuition, from where he was called in the police's quarter”.
