AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): With the demand of regularization, Tripura SSA teachers have gathered before Rabindra Bhawan on Saturday.

The programme has been conducted in remembrance of the 7 days long Hunger Strike led by the SSA teachers in 2017. They observed the Hunger Strike since August 1st to August 7, 2017.

The SSA teachers have named the protest as "Satyagrahi Andolon".

Noteworthy, Tripura BJP in its pre-poll promise scripted in the Vision Document  about regularization all Contractual Employees. In the Vision Document, published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in No-10 promise, it was said, "BJP will REGULARIZE CONTRACTUAL Govt Employees". 

SSA teachers played a vital role to led the BJP to win the election.
