AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb participated in the proceedings of the second day of the 67th North East Council Plenary Meeting in Shillong on the second day.
Biplab Deb expanded his Government's vision of making a 'Drugs Free Tripura' into making a 'Drugs Free North East' and called upon the member CMs and Governors to for their support in this direction.
Biplab Deb further reiterated the need to complete the Feni River project again today during the discussion of development projects for North East India.
He stressed upon the members of the NEC to see the comprehensive benefits that shall be received once this project gets completed as this shall become a new Gateway for North East India which shall open through Tripura due to this project.
He asked appropriate steps to be undertaken expeditiously to ensure that this project gets accomplished at the earliest which shall further the objective of 'Transforming North-East' India.
