AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): IPFT, BJP's clashes are ongoing in Tripura since 3 months of the BJP-IPFT Govt formation. In a violent attack on Tuesday evening, at least 7 IPFT activists were injured at Birchandra Manu, in Santir Bazar of South Tripura after they were beaten with chains and rods and thick sticks allegedly by BJP activists. Two of the injured persons were referred to GB hospital following the clash. IPFT President NC Debbarma however, didn't place any attacking comment against BJP. Being asked by media, NC Debbarma said, "Let the investigation be completed and who are actually behind such activities let it come out". On the other side, IPFT General secretary Ananata Debbarma said, "This attack was held by newly joined BJP activists from CPI-M to malign BJP. Still, we are checking the issues and let the investigation be completed". Balindra Reang and Nibhrito Noatia were referred to GB hospital with severe injuries. IPFT leaders met both of them and heard their allegations.

According to the injured persons admitted in GB Hospital, on yesterday evening being called by Village Council the IPFT activists went to attend the meeting but suddenly a group of BJP activists attacked the IPFT activists at there. The IPFT went there to submit memorandum to the Village Council. In that incident 6 to 7 people were injured.

The injured patients also said, with police's help the situation was brought under control but when peace was back, suddenly BJP activists entering IPFT office led by Santir Bazar Mandal President held attacks upon them. On that time, IPFT activists were identifying the BJP goons against whom FIR were to be lodged.

The attackers were in massive numbers who rushed to beat the IPFT activists via vehicles and with chain, sticks, rod they were beaten.
