AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): A dark day for Tripura’s History as Indian Miss World who made the country proud back in 1997, was insulted by Tripura's Chief Minister, based on her looks. 1997's Miss World from India Diana Hayden’s who was certified on Thursday by Tripura BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb as ‘unworthy’ to be a Miss-World, has hit back him for his unexpected remark against her. She told media on Friday, “I have been struggling with my brown skin in this biased society since my childhood. However, I am proud that I have succeeded and people should be proud of my achievement rather than belittling it…. I am a proud brown-skinned Indian. Yes I am hurt. When a person is in so high position, how can he remark against a woman like that ?”, Diana Hayden said. Twitteratis have slammed Tripura CM saying ‘It was the most ridiculous speech of 2018'.

Biplab Deb on Thursday said while addressing at Pragna Bhawan in a Design-Workshop that Indian Women according to him should look like Goddess Laxmi and Saraswati.

Comparing Aishwarya Rai with Diana Hayden, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, “How can Diana Hayden represent Indian beauty ? Aishwarya Rai still okay as she has beauty connected with Indianness”.

This is the second blow for the BJP, led by Biplab Deb’s controversial statement ahead of Karnataka-Election. This latest remark was after his Internet-Theory and claim of “Internet Existed in Mahabharata’s era” which turned world-wide popular. On that time global reactions led PM Modi to warn BJP leaders to stay away from any further "masala-mixed lectures".

But even after PM Modi’s warning what Biplab Deb yesterday remarked, it opened a new chapter of controversy.

On the 6 week of the Govt's formation in Northeast state Tripura, BJP Chief Minister's remarks were enough to ruin RSS, BJP’s image nation-wide and here in Tripura the Youth Icon Biplab Deb’s followers are expressing surprises with their leader’s actual face is exposing.

In the past 48 days four controversial statements of Biplab Deb came in media limelight :

1.     Tripura’s tourist spot in Amarpur-Chabimura is better than Amazaon river and if the tourists don’t feel the same after visiting Chabimura, Chief Minister from own pocket will return the trip-expenses. CM also said, “Amazon River is located on Africa” (not South America),

2.     Internet and satellites existed in Mahabharata-Era and via Internet Sanjay was giving live updates of Kurukshetra war to the blind king Dritarashtra,

3.     Before lakhs of years India has Journalists. The “Pandits” of Raj-Durbar were actually journalists, whose work was to inform everything to the king,

4.     Diana Hayden didn’t deserve the Miss-World award as she doesn’t look like an Indian woman and her style is unworthy to represent India. Indian women should be like Goddess Laxmi, Saraswati and Aishwarya Rai is still fine to title as Miss World. Not only this, CM also claimed there was no credit any Indian woman to get the Miss World or Miss Universe awards at all as such beauty-contests are fake and ramp walks are just for “shows”. The awardees names are selected before the competition.

However, from BJP central leaders nobody has clarified the matter, including Amit Shah and PM Modi are totally over Biplab Deb's remark.
