AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): The much awaited Agartala Book Fair, which will be continued for 12 days, has begun today.
Keeping the book fair ahead, heavy preparations were done since 7 days.
Governor Tathagata Roy has inaugurated the book fair. Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath were also present on that occasion.
Agartala book-fair is widely popular; and always are being participated by huge numbers of foreign businessmen.
Along with the common people, various schools, colleges, institutes, libraries and academic centers also have assembled to buy books at the book Fair in the evening.
The first Agartala Book Fair held was held in 1981 and since then the scenario of publishing started to change very rapidly.
