AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Rs 7.17 lakhs of fund embezzlement have been disclosed under SP Communication Office. Allegation came against Technical Supervisor Biswajit Saha & SP Santunu Debbarma for jointly operating the misdeed.
SP Communication Santnu Debbarma in his defence said that by mistake without checking he signed in that paper, whereas Biswajit Saha is the main culprit here.
However, at Amtali PS an FIR was lodged agaisnt SP Communication Officials.
The money came a bonus to the employees, which was withdrawn on Sep 28, 2011 from State Bank Of India, Melarmath Branch.
The total money was 7 lakhs 16 thousand & 5 hundred rupee, which after depositing from state Bank of India, grabbed by DDO Sudip Chakraborty, Cashier Tutan Debnath, Constable Kamal Sarkar.
