KAMALPUR, Jan 16 (TIWN): The preparation for the election got started long ago. Political parties also got busy in their plans and policies. The advent of IPFT with the demand of separate Twipraland hoped to be an interesting issue. The ruling party started to blew up the existence of some sort of militancy in the hillocks of the state. In this situation, the Salema Block authority under this subdivision got all set for the ensuing election.
Under the jurisdiction of Salema RD Block, there remained ten Village Councils namely, Apareshkar, Panboa, Nakful, Jamthum, Katalutma, Maharanipur, Mendi, Shimbukchak, Ashapurna Roaja para and South Kachuchara. In those VCs, in total 13, 983 voters would caste their franchise to elect 83 representatives. Among those voters the number of male voters remained 7107 and the number of female voters remained 6876. Nakful VC got the minimum numbers of voters i.e. 816. And the Maharanipur VC had the highest 2092 numbers of voters.
Each of the Apareshkar, Panboa, Jamthum, Katalutma, Maharanipur, and Mendi got 5 wards with 9 members. On the other hand, each of the Nakful, Shimbukchak, Ashapurna Roaja para, South Kachuchara had 4 wards with 7 members. The voters would cast their votes in 30 polling stations in total, in those VCs.
