KAMALPUR, Jan 1 (TIWN): The vast stretch of land at Duraicharra under Durai Shibbari Panchayat here at Kamalpur remained out of the reach of irrigation. And the continuous victory of the leftists, made the supporters and workers here fed up with the situation as the words of the late Health Minister Bimal Sinha remained beyond reach till date.

The Duraicharra area under the Durai Shibbari gram panchayat remained a dominant vote bank of the CPI-M party. In every election, the leftist candidate had a big leap here. But mysteriously, the area left out of the irrigation. However, the adjacent Shyamraicharra village panchayat got the irrigation facility. And, if the irrigation drainage of the Shyamraicharra got extended another 500 meters, then the fields of the Duraichara would be well covered under irrigation. Some aged farmers of the area expressed their anguish that, the late Health Minister Bimal Sinha assured them to remedy the problem. But after his death, his wife and present MLA Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha is not bothered about the problem. And hence they had to arrange the irrigation at their own cost. 

As a result they had to sell their products at higher costs and it became hard for them to meet the both ends. However, they still remained hopeful that, the party leadership and the administration would resolve their problem soon.
