AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): An elderly man from West Bhubanban area was arrested following a complaint was lodged by a rape victim’s mother.

According to police, the case which is still under investigation – was registered on Thursday night.

Based on the complaint and ongoing investigation reports, an elderly man was arrested by police with help of Ramnagar police. 

The arrested person is now under custody of West Agartala Women Police station.

Investigation is underway, said police. No details about the accused person’s identification were shared.
