AGARTALA, Nov 22 (TIWN): Based on secret source's information Police detained a Maruti Vehicle from Battala area along with 500 litres local liquor.

It is known the 500 litres local liquor was brought from Madhupur area to Battala area. For being involved with the smuggling a man was detained by Police.

The arrested man was identified as Indrajit Dasgupta (32), S/o- Nityananda Dasgupta of Madhupur area. Police after detaining him taken to Court along with the seized items

The entire operation was led under the leadership of ASI Kamal Debnath of Battala Outpost.
