AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Which statement of Minister Sushanta Chowdhury is correct about BJP Minister Bhagaban Das’s son Chandrashekhar Das’s location on gangrape incident day that is on 19th October? Was Chandrashekhar Das in Guwahati or in Agartala? This categorical question has triggered massive curiosity among public and today this issue has further turned complex after Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that Bhagaban Das’s son was in Agartala, the day after Chowdhury said that Minister’s son was in Guwahati.
On 26th October BJP Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that Minister Bhagaban Das’s son was in Guwahati on the incident day and then today Chowdhury said that the Minister’s son was in Agartala. On the other hand, on 22nd October Kadamtala BJP leader stated that Minister’s son was in Agartala.
All these have generated massive confusion among the public regarding the role of BJP party leaders in manipulating the case diary.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressing the media at Secretariat said that “Our Govt never attempted to manipulate the case. Police is investigating the case independently without any outside influence”.
But question remains, can the Police show the mobile-location history of Chandrashekhar Das?
The gangrape incident took place on Oct 19 by BJP Party workers after a BJP woman worker trapped a 16 years old girl in a hotel room. BJP party members then gang-raped the girl for the whole night, leaving her critically injured.
