AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Two on-duty Police officials were injured after a Maruti Vehicle hit them. The incident occurred in the area adjacent to SDP and office under Bishalgarh PS.

It is learned that on Friday night, two SPO of Bishalgarh Police Station were on duty in front of the bypass in the area adjacent to the SDPO office, meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing number TR03H0751 coming from Agartala at high speed hit the two on duty police personnel, and left them in a bloody state. After receiving the information about the incident, Bishalgarh Fire Department personnel rushed to the spot.

Then the injured two policemen were rescued and brought to the Bishalgarh sub-district hospital. The two injured police personnel are identified as Jontu Kumar Bhowmik and Dayal Acharya.

It is known that Dayal Acharya’s condition is critical.
