AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Horrible condition of Umakanta Football Ground was noticed due to lack of maintenance in the last 3.5 years.

Umakanta Academy is located just on the opposite side of CM"s quarter and the ground is also nearby, but due to the slumbering role of the Sports Dept, the field turned almost into a jungle.

This is not the single stadium which is deprived of basic maintenance by the State Govt but the scenario is seen throughout the state.

Big cricket fields also left without any maintenance whereas earlier annually at least twice all fields were maintained.
