AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): 38 years old man’s dead body was recovered from water bodY at Vidyamohan area under Kalyanpur PS on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Swapan Debbarma (38), S/o – Lt. Batu Debbarma, resident of Vidyamohan area under Kalyanpur PS was a day labourer by profession, unmarried and was living with his elder brother. But today morning, suddenly the locals spotted Swapan’s dead body which was floating in water body.

Immediately locals informed Kalyanpur PS and police led by OC Jayant Debnath rushed to the spot.

Locals suspected that in alcoholic state Swapan went to take bath in pond, which caused the accident.
