AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura, Dept of Health has issued an order to the Health Dept officials to start special drive to stop illegal abortions either in Govt or in Private hospitals.

On May 22, one Doctor named Ajay Biswas was caught red-handed by Health Minister Sudip Barman at Birchandra Manu Sahid Smriti hospital at Santir Bazar (South Tripura).

It was revealed that per abortion the hospital was taking Rs. 15,000 around.

After the incident, now Health Dept has given a final warning to the doctors in the Govt and Private hospital to stop illegal abortions right now.
