AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): A rare species of animal was found from Sadhan Laskar’s house at Belonia, Banshpara colony.
According to the forest department the species has been identified as "Asian Plum Civet ". The animal was first spotted by Sadhan Laskar’s family members on Sunday at around 2 Pm, immediately it was informed to the Forest Department and Police. The Forest department rushed to the spot but even after 2 hours passed the Forest department failed to rescue the animal due to lack of ‘Animal Rescue Equipment’.
Negligence of Forest department was clearly noticed, centering the failure to rescue the animal. However, an on-duty official said the animal hid self due to the public crowd in the house. Unable to rescue the animal after attempting many times questions being raised on their skill. Until writing the news the Forest dept officials were in search to rescue the animal. Attachments area
