Tripura CM pays visit to rural  parts, takes stock of  latest COVID19 situation

Agartala, June 1 (TIWN): Continuing his efforts to strengthen the fight against COVID19 in the rural parts, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has on Monday paid day-long visits to several parts of Gomati and Khowai districts to take stock of latest COVID19 situation, quarantine status and administrative works.

Beginning from Teliamura in Khowai district, the Chief Minister has concluded his visit at Matabari block in Gomati district.
While visiting various rural places, the Chief Minister has motivated all concerned—from administrative, healthcare officials to ASHA workers—to further strengthen the battle against COVID19. 
As part of his visit, the Chief Minister has inspected various facility quarantine centres, witnessed the ground reality regarding the home quarantine and also held interactions with many of the quarantined persons.
While visiting various areas, the Chief Minister had interactions with the officials concerned and health staff. He also reviewed if the beneficiaries are receiving the assistance as announced by the Centre and State governments in view of the COVID19 pandemic.
Speaking to Media, the Chief Minister said he is happy that the people were spontaneously maintaining quarantine and other norms. He also acknowledged that the representatives of local bodies along with other concerned were working hard to ensure 14-days quarantine of all coming from other states.
“Along with all the frontline warriors, the elected public representatives are giving their best at their respective areas. I hope they will continue to work with patience in the coming days as well,” the Chief Minister said adding that the state government was working with an aim to recover the loss incurred in last two/three months following the COVID19 situation.
In some places, the Chief Minister reviewed the implementation status of various schemes announced by the State and Central Governments.
In Gomati district, the Chief Minister paid visits to several places including Matabari block area, Mantridas Para, Kunjari Mog Para, Melchi ADC village and various quarantine centres at Amarpur.
Similarly, he visited some parts of Khowai district including Darjeeling Tilla at Teliamura, Twidu primary health centre at Ampi and quarantine centres in other places.
Meanwhile, the ASHA workers were visibly happy as the Chief Minister held interactions with them and inquired about the challenges they are facing while fighting the corona pandemic.
