AGARTALA , Oct 6 (TIWN): As demanded by State BJP President Biplab Kumar Deb , BJP National President Amit Shah has agreed to send a team of BJP Parliamentary members to Tripura to have a close inspection about the law and order situation in Tripura , especially after the brutal murder of journalist Shantanu Bhowmik . Soon after the murder state govt and the ruling party politicalized the issueand started blaming BJP for sponsoring IPFT in this murder . But BJP strongly protested this incident and demanded CBI probe in this case as the party has less faith in Manik Sarkar controlled SIT .

Recently , when the state govt denied to hand over the case to CBI , state BJP President Biplab Kumar Deb wrote a letter to BJP National President Amit Shah demanding to send a team of BJP MPs to the state and to have a close look on the on going law and order situation . 

According to TIWN sources the team may comprise 5-7 BJP MPs from Lok Sabha and the Raja Sabha . Though official confirmation was given regarding the exact date of the MPs visit , state BJP President told media that any time after the Laxmi Puja a team of BJP Parliamentary members will visit Tripura . The team will inspect the law and order situation and visit Mandai , where Shantanu was brutally murdered and a few other sensitive places in Tripura which came into headlines due to the political violence and murders of some BJP karyakartas .

Biplab Kumar Deb categorically said," The state govt and Chief Minister Manik Sarkar are total failure in maintaining the law and order in the state . To hide the truth behind Shantanu's murder state govt has constituted SIT instead of handing the case over to CBI . We don't believe that SIT will bring out the truth as it is totally under the control of state govt and CM . "

Biplab Deb further said ," Much before Shantanu's murder Section 144 was imposed in Mandai and near by areas . How could so many IPFT activists gather there ? Why didn't the senior police officials take adequate measures to maintain law and order . Shantanu was hacked to death in broad day light and this is indeed mysterious  ."

Speaking to the Press Biplab Kumar Deb said ," BJP will strengthen its agitation for CBI probe in Shatanu murder case and MPs visit will surely intensify our demands . "

Meanwhile , a highly placed sources in the state Secretariat told this correspondent ," State govt is under tremendous pressure now as this will be the first time in Manik Sarkar's era that a Parliamentary team is visiting the state after the alleged breakdown of law and order situation . Ahead of assembly poll this has been viewed as a master stroke by the BJP . " 

Giving utmost importance Amit Shah has instructed 5-7 MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to visit Tripura . Soon after visiting Tripura the team will meet with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and submit detailed reports about Tripura's law and order situation .
