KADAMTALA/DHARMANAGAR , July 18 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's regime may be well remembered for massive fund looting in various schemes right from MGNREGA to PMGSY or even by the local panchayat bodies . These days the panchayats are showing printed records of expenditure done in every financial year . But truth is much bigger than what is printed. In Kadamatala Panchayat under Dharmanagar SubDivision a fund looting of Rs 24350/- has been exosed. In the name of Repairing of a same road panchayat showed expenditure made twice and with different amount .

  In Ward No 4 of Kadamatala Panchayat a mud road stretches from the side of the house of Samir Barman to Kadamtala Panchayat . According to Panchayat's record for the FY 2015-16 exoenditure is shown twince :-

1) From Barman Road to Parimal Das( amount sanctioned Rs 12696/-)

2) From Sukla Dhar to Nirmal Nath (amount sanctioned Rs 15448/-)

       In both cases actual expenditure was shown Rs 10750/- and Rs 13600/- respectively . 

       It is to be mentioned here that both these roads as shown in Panchayat records do exist in Barman Road to Kadamatala Panchayat road. Till date this road is mud one as no reairing has been done on this road for the last 15 years or so , alleged the local residents. Around two hundred people directly depend on this road directly. 

  In this season of monsoon this road has become almost impossible for use . Even light vehicles cannot move easily. 

  When asked about the expenditure shown in Panchayat's Book local residents of Kadamtala said ," It is nothing but gross irregularity . How can the panchayat bodies show the expenditure of repairing of a same road twice using two different names and with two different amount of actual expnditure is beyond our knowledge. " 

  It is really very surprising that though this book was published more than two months ago , the opposition is yet to lodge any complaint about the said fund looting.
