AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Health Minister Badal Chowdhury's false statements to fool public once again exposed as Tripura Medical College itself is a State Govt entity funded by State & Central Govt. It has it has been known that Tripura Govt submitted a project of Establishing Regional Nursing College at Hapania, with Rs. 61.84 crores. But allegation raised, how a private College can be the location of a regional college?? The issue was raised by Dr. Ashok Sinha at BJP Headquarter after Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury said, 'TMC is a private College & it has nothing to do with Tripura Govt'. Badal Choudhury's said this after Central Govt had given a notice to Tripura Health Dept. whether TMC is running by the society well or not. Opposition's allegation was if it's a Govt College then the Education must be free but TMC is taking above Rs. 6 lakhs from each students. Earlier, High Court also asked Tripura Govt that if society can not run the college then Govt can take full charge of it.
But on the one hand, from the budget Tripura Govt has given crores of loans to TMC which could not be cleared by the society of TMC on the other hands TMC is taking above 6 lakhs from the students.Clearing the confusion, Badal Choudhury said, 'TMC is private College !' But, then Ashok Sinha published the Doct sent by Tripura Director of Health Service J K Debbarma to Tripura College of Nursing saying, "With furnishing detail information with complete DPR I'm informing you that a project proposal was submitted to NEC for the Establishment of Regional Nursing College at Hapania on upgradation of 60 intake B.SC".
Nursing College at the cost of 61.84 crores out of which an amount of Rs. 3.76 crores is for procurement of equipment for furniture, equipments., books & journals.......".
This is how the CPI-M Govt here is fooling the Central Govt saying TMC is Govt College & further fooling the students saying it's a private college to receive a hefty amount from each students.
Noteworthy, whereas Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury washed hand saying 'TMC & BRAM is 100 % private College', but in the notification No. F.3 (2-306) - PLAN /DHS/ 09/ 519 -26 of Health Dept. it is clearly mentioned "The undersigned is directed to allot and place an amount of Rupees Eighty Five Lakhs only under State Plan (Divisible Pool) in demand No. 20 in favour of DDO, O/o the Add Director of Health Services, Govt of Tripura to deposit the same in the joint account No. 30988719585 of ONGC Branch of State Bank of India being the loan eased by Finance Dept, Govt of Tripura for the society of TMC & BRAM Hospital".
