AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): Tripura's fuel stock is 6 times more than the need, the last Assembly Session disclosed the data, but why without any prior notice the petrol crisis is occurring in state, it's yet unknown. This is the day-9 of the petrol crisis but without any significant reason behind it. Accusation raises, keeping ahead the IPFT strike the artificial crisis was called eventhough openly CPI-M is opposing the strike. The cause of the petrol crisis yet unknown, as the workers of petrol pumps also staying tight lipped. Atleast 500 of vehicular were standing in front of Agartala City's major petrol pumps, whereas maximum left with 'No-Petrol' sign. Without any prior notice, Gomati Dists all petrol pump turned empty on Thursday that led a chaos situation. But openly black marketing of fuel are going on over the Capital City also. At TRTC Stand, near CNG station since decades petrol are selling openly in black market but who will take the action ?
But amidst all the problems, state Tripura's petrol pumps have been reported with full of fuel stock which is enough to run a state without any fuel importing for long 1 week. But on the practical ground the fuel crisis grips Tripura, if a single day petrol is not imported in state. The last petrol crisis for 3 days reported from Tripura was due to All India Strike of the drivers across Northeast, blocking the ways of petrol entrance to Tripura.
The petrol pump dealers on that time said that due to the strike state could not receive any fuel, whereas data says, in Tripura presently there are 60 petrol pumps, whereas everyday 190 KL petrol is needed in state, the stock in state is 708 KL. In case of diesel 400 KL is needed per day, but the actual diesel's stock is 1,098 KL, that are 6 times greater than the need.
