AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): CBI's interrogation was centered on Goutam Das's publicity on Rose Valley company in his media Daily Deser Katha; after Goutam Das's press conference this thing was clear.
Addressing a press conference, Goutam Das said in the evening, 'I have no personal problem to reveal what CBI led by Kolkata CBI S K Tripathi had asked me...'.
However, with the declaration of Das, these set of questions-answering came out :
1. CBI : As the Editor of a news media tell me how Rose Valley spread its net in Tripura ?
Goutam Das : I left Deser Katha's news editor role 2 years back but initially we published advertisements, but when in various other news media Chit fund was questioned, I stopped all the propaganda about chit fund, via my Newspaper.
2. CBI : Did Deser Katha wrote against Chit fund ?
Goutam Das : Without proofs I can not write anything as they can file case or challenge us...but we highlighted the awareness and asked people not to deposit their money in chit fund.
3. CBI : Whether state govt promoted chit fund ?? There are allegation against the govt for promoting chit fund.
Goutam Das : As per my knowledge I don't think so, as from corporate sector govt can not take money.
4. CBI : What about Amtali Park ? It has been learnt that Govt gave them lands ?
Goutam Das : The land was not of govt. but it was private land as per my knowledge...
5. CBI : Did you meet Goutam Kundu ?
Goutam Das : Never !
CBI : Did CPI-M or any other party take money from Rose Valley ?
6. Goutam Das : I don't know about other parties, but it is Communist's ideology 'not to take' donations from any corporate sectors.
However, with the questioning of CBI revealed by Goutam Das, one thing is clear CBI has caught the cat-eyed man from his editorial link with Chit-Fund sympathy and Goutam Kundu's link. Seems, more bad days are waiting for Melarmath for promoting chit fund for their financial interest.
