'Stop Killing Minority at Bangladesh.....', Tripura Buddhists raise voice against increasing Jihadi attacks upon Minority

AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Even though Bangladesh Govt assured about the total safety of other religions in secular Bangladesh, but there are unstopped voices, raising allegations against Bangladesh law and order for violating minorities rights at there. Tripura Chakma Student Council and Chakma National Council of India on Thursday organized a massive rally at Tripura's Capital City Agartala with slogans of 'Stop Killing Buddhists minority at neighboring Bangladesh'. The rally followed with a a protest which was held at Bangladesh Asst High Commissioners' Office demanding to stop the violence against Buddhists at Bangladesh. However, also on Wednesday a similar protest was held at Bangladesh Asst High Commissioners' Office by tribal Hindus condemning the increasing attack upon Hindus at there. Protesting the alleged Jihadi attacks at Bangladesh upon Minority, Tripura Separatists party IPFT youth wing on Wednesday showed agitation at Agartala Bangladesh Asst High Commissioner’s Office demanding a permanent solution to such issues.

The youth forum Tripura separatists party hit Bangladesh Asst High Commissioner Office at Agartala protesting against increasing ‘Jihadi attacks upon minority at Chittagong’. In a deputation, placed before the Deputy High Commissioner Shakhawat Hossain, the IPFT said, “This is to express our serious concerns on the incident of large scale atrocities committed upon the innocent indigenous (tribals) people of Bangladesh in Chittagong Dist (Rangamati) on June 2nd, 2017”. “This incident in heinous and barbaric attack on the minority tribal people by the religious majority fundamentalists with the sole objective of outsted the religious minority from Bangladesh permanently”, said in the deputation.

It's noteworthy that the country’s total population found to be 15.89 crore by 2015-end with the community numbering 1.70 crore against 1.55 crore in 2014.

The number of Hindus in Muslim-majority Bangladesh has grown by one per cent to 1.70 crore in one year constituting 10.7 per cent of the population by the end of 2015, an official report said on Thursday.

The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) said their latest vital sample statistics report found the country’s total population to be 15.89 crore by the end of 2015 with the number of Hindus at 1.70 crore.
