Techno India Group announces launch of engineering college in Tripura

AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): The Techno India Group today announced launch of under-graduate courses at its upcoming Maheshkhola campus starting next month. Addressing the media at Agartala Press Club here this afternoon, Director designate of the institute Professor Tarit Kumar Majumder said that the state government arranged 2 acre land for the new technical institute.

B.Tech programmes in five trades including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering would be started in the institute at the very outset. The academic disciplines available for study at the institute would be expanded later in phased manner, he said. Each Department would be started with intake capacity of a total of sixty students. The cumulative student strength of the institute from the very first year is slated to be 300.

The admission process was already started in which good response was found so far, Majumder said.

The Techno India group offered affordable higher education with barely Rs. 43 thousand course fee per semester.The state government recently provided 13.46 acre land to Rama Rao Adik Education Society from Mumbai. The Society is learnt to be setting up an engineering and vocational training institute at Debendra Chandra Nagar of Mohanpur sub-division.
