TIWN

Agartala, July 3 (TIWN): The All India Committee of All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan condemned the statement of Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Paul as reported by the media, wherein he has threatened to shoot down his political opponents and called upon his boys to rape the CPI (M) workers, if anything happens to their mothers or sisters or his political workers by CPI (M) party workers.

AIMSS, state committee in a press communiqué stated the statement as anti-women and anti-civilization. A leader, supposed to protect the honor and dignity of every woman born in this country, is abetting the crime rape by issuing such statement. The Sangathan urged all sections of people, particularly, women to strongly protest the statement made by the Trinamool MP and demand for stern action against this.

In another instance, All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan placed demands of adopting stern action against the persons involved in committing crimes against women in the state. They also demanded the police to lodge FIR against crime against women, if the victim comes to the police station. Among other demands, they stated that the victim’s family should be given compensation, medical treatment charges and legal step should be taken against the person involved in torturing followed by murdering women.

On the other hand, most of the candidates contesting in the three-tier Panchayat election from CPI (M) party are new face this time. CPI (M) managed tactfully in diverting all the leading workers of the Congress party under the banner of CPI (M) party in a recent past under Ambassa sub division recently, and a good number have submitted nomination among the new comers. CPI (M) is far ahead in the election campaign than that of other opposition political parties at Ambassa sub division area. Nepal Das who was an active worker for a long tenure recently joined CPI (M) party and a candidate of CPI (M) from Kulai Gram Panchayat. He is confident about his victory in the election. Nitish Debnath, another candidate for Panchayat Samity said that people of the locality must vote for CPIM candidates for development of the state people in the ensuing three tier Panchayat election. People of the state must evaluate from their experience.
