BHUBANEWSAR / AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): Odisa Govt’s initiative for engaging CBI in State based Chit funds worked as he prime source of all chit-fund networks. From Sarada to Rose Valley, the chain of Chit fund network across the nation was only came out when Orisa Sate Govt showed special interest in CBI inquiry. Morever, the Odisha Govt’s cooperation with CBI has set all to release the farmers lands and Govt lands, which had been occupied by Chit Fund groups. It was only because of the Odisa Govt and CBI’s joint move against Sarada scam that a specially-designated court in Odisha's Balasore directed the state government to auction the confiscated properties of chit fund firm Saradha Group.The court, which confiscated a total of 13.64 acres of land belonging to the Group, ordered for its public auction, so as to equitably distribute the sale proceeds among the duped investors.The value of the attached properties is estimated to be around Rs 4.20 crore.

On the other hand, in Tripura just at a hand of distance with the Agartala Municipal Office that the Head Office of Tripura Rose Valley has been occupied the land. Not only this inside the building, security guards are giving full ties duty, whereas common people are not allowed to go there.

Not only this, at West Bengal Barasat the Rose Valley Entertainment Park was fully seized but at Agartala Amtali the park is making a Tax-Free business. But the state govt till day didn’t show any interest to conduct CBI inquiry against Rose Valley, whereas only a letter from the Chief Minister Office was enough to call for direct CBI inquiry against Rose Valley.

 It has been reported that whereas among 100 Kani 33.14 is demensed land, the rest 17.5 kani is of tribals, which were taken without giving any compensation to them and ‘Khas’ always means for the government. 34 % land under Rose Valley entertainment park  are of Govt & local tribals, but the park is doing Tax-Free business there. Moreover, nobody knows who is the real owner of the Park. More than 6 lakhs of tax relaxation was given to Rose Valley in last financial year.

After multiple protests, discussion on Rose Valley held, now it’s clear that CBI will not come in Tripura until the state govt calls it. But evenafter SIT’s failure to fulfill the chargesheet against Rose Valley, the State Govt fully relying upon SIT investigation; either its Rose Valley or its MGNREGA.

Now CBI only will interfere in SIT investigation, if it finds any link of Tripura Rose Valley with states like Odissa or West Benglal.

Whereas Rose Valley occupying huge area of lands at Agartala and other subdivisions as Udaipur, Dharmanagar on the other side the Odisa court in its verdict ordered for public auction of around 13.64-acre land belonging to Saradha Realty. The proceeds of the public auction on court orders will be distributed among the needy depositors on a priority basis.

But no hope for Tripura’s 45000 depositors of Chit Fund groups to get back their money as the Tripura Govt neither showing interest for serious investigation, now it has any intension to return back the basic to the depositors,

The pronouncement was made under the Odisha Protection of Interest of Depositors Act-2011 (OPID Act). However, Tripura also adopted Depositors Act when Manik Sarkar was the Law Ministry, but it remained without any action.
