AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): Doesn’t matter how much capacity the opposition parties have in Tripura, but Congress, BJP have declined to be with Trinamool Congress in this bi-election. Rejecting Sudip barman’s proposal, Tripura BJP has not only announced its candidates names but doing campaigning in full fledge manner. On the other hand BJP State President has become almost invisible since many days and now he is visiting at Dhaka ahead of the crucial moments of election, instead of visiting rural areas. But clamours of winning the election is high on behalf of BJP, Congress and Trinamool. The oppositions were heard for discussing about mutuality, it was cleared after Sudip Barman held a press meet at Trinamool Bhawan on October 17. Tripura Trinamool Congress led by Sudip Roy Barman in a press meet said that TMC has talked to the other opposition parties for not to submit candidates’ names in this upcoming bi-election. However, Sudip Roy Barman said, if other political parties also compete in that election then CPI-M will not be defeated and the result will be as same as Simna Tamakari.

Sudip Barman himself said that he personally told each of the opposition leaders about this and discussed about how to weaken CPI-M’s vote-banks.

Also in that press meet, which was fully covered by TIWN correspondent it was said that earlier Trinamool didn’t stand in Simna-Tamakari ADC Election, as IPFT urged them not to submit candidates names.

Sudip Roy Barman also has personally talked to the other opposition leaders, said Barman during Press meet. He further stated that no opposition should stand in election either with party name or by any other name or Independent.

But BJP vice-president Subal Bhowmik said in a recent interview at national media , "No alliance of non-Left parties will be formed. TMC, unilaterally declaring its candidates, urged all non-Left parties to form an alliance to defeat the candidates of ruling Left Front in the next month's by-elections,"

People are saying opposition parties are judging their position through these bi-elections. BJP also eying for tribal vote-banks with regional parties help. In this situation BJP& Trinamool could be a big blow for CPI-M in Tripura.

TIWN also survey on the grass-wood level, where it was found that the working class people are eyeing for Mamata Party and most of them were in Congress. But Congress is also to announce candidates names for this bi-poll.

In this situation 3 opposition parties in Tripura are fighting against each other rather than fighting against CPI-M. But how much they independently can affect CPI-M’s vote banks it’s to be seen.
