AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): After all when it comes for celebration, rules fail to control the tortures done by the majority, especially when Police work like a puppet to the corrupted system. As patients, old people belong to the minority, the noise pollution is a non-issue here in the state. Various clubs are now busy to show off their power, stability to the society resulting dangerous noise pollution in the state. In many areas, there are more than one club resulting 2 / 3 sound boxes from different clubs are hitting the normal lives of common people. But no action is taken against high sound boxes during day or after night 12 also. The most sufferers are the old people, little babies and those who like to work few hours in day time of puja. DGP K Nagraj however, already said in a press meeting to go for “Mutuality” for pass or other things during puja. So now it can be understood, what is the condition of law & order of the state.Ahead of Durga Puga officials of the State Pollution Control Board get busy ensuring that the noise pollution levels do not exceed the specified levels.According to the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, as amended in 2012, the noise level at market places between 6am to 10pm should be below 65 dB. However, a relaxation of 10 dB is also given under rule 5(4) of the same taking the upper limit to 75 dB for special occasions.

Loudspeakers are not allowed after 10pm.

But question arises, who cares for all those rules? Who cares for if there is really some old people getting highly effected by loud noise?

Under the Golden Era led by CM Manik Sarkar, no action will be taken against the clubs unless somebody gives a written complain to any issue.
