AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): In an utter shock to Tripura Govt, SC issued stay order on NEET students admission in AGMC.

High Court on Oct 29  cancelled NEET 12 students admission in AGMC, and asked to select 12 students who passed in Tripura Joint entrance.  HC also announced fresh 12 students’ name for the admission for 2016.

But challenging the order of High Court Tripura Govt. has filed SLP in Supreme Court, due to that the admission procedure has been disrupted. Tripura Govt. is now waiting for the Supreme Court hearing as it appealed in SC to skirt the high court order "for admitting 12 students to Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) as per results of the state joint entrance examination".

The NEET qualified 12 students met Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Monday, but Sarkar told them to wait till Supreme Court’s decision is announced.

Tripura Govt. in an attempt to unfollow High Court’s order was showing much dilemma in admission process but Trinamool youth forum hit Medical Education Office protesting that the NEET qualified 12 students are getting full support from the state govt. as one of those 12 students is daughter of Hiranmoy Dey, who is CPI-M’s close mate.

TMCP leader Viki Prasad also said , as per Bashudeb Bhattacharjee the admission process to be started from Tuesday (as per High Court’s order).   According to TMC, “let come Supreme Court’s hearing, but the normal admission process can’t be delayed.

Now with SC’s 1st hearing, the NEET qualified 12 students’ admissions have been canceled for now, until SC go with the next hearing.
