AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M Govt continue to deprive DA and Central Pay scale to State Govt teachers even though Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar during Ramthakur Pathsala Girls’ H S School inauguration lectured the teachers to give extra time in their schools. Expressing worries about the deteriorating Education Quality Chief Minister blaming the teachers said that if Teachers take the full responsibility then the Education Quality must be uplifted. “Think the students as your own children and take care of them”.To prove that infrastructure is not important for Quality Education, CM said, “Without infrastructure studies can be done. My school had no building, where I studied. fan, lights were out of imagination. We brought water from far distance for our class rooms and we ran the bell in every hour". Basically, wily Manik washed off lameduck State Govt’s failure to provide quality education to children in various Govt Schools.

“Compare to that time Education quality has developed a lot. Today students are proving with free of cost Education, mid-day-meal, stipends, buildings, benches. Sitting in that condition why students are unable to make good results it worries me”, said CM.

“The system is so much Education-Friendly today but still why every schools are unable to be a model school”, said CM.

CM continued to put all responsibly to the poorly paid teachers, whereas in rural Tripura the condition after 60’s have hardly changed. Water scarcity is a major issue to rural hilly schools, power connection, advanced lab and Class rooms are still unthinkable. But CM says without infrastructure study can be done.

This is a digital era, where Education has become much Global & the bookish knowledge are not enough, but still CM claims infrastructure is a least item for Education-Friendly environment.

Moreover, how can he expect extra time to school from the teacher who are paid half less than the Central Employees? Moreover without infrastructure how can Quality Education come?

10,323 teachers case is lying pending and the teachers whose future are  so much uncertain, how can they focus on class rooms? The fixed paid teachers who runs livelihood under poverty how they can give more effort than capacity in poor infratsuctures?

Even after High court’s orders to clear 31% DA to the state government employees, Tripura government kept on depriving its employees by giving only mere 4% DA.

Tripura High Court has ordered the state govt. to pay 31 % DA unless the govt. here doesn’t take any proper DA system and Pay Commissions implement. High Court Judge Subhashish Talapatra in a divisional bench announced it. Court has ordered to give the 31 % DA since 1/1/2009 to 27/8/2011, in 3 installments.

But by increasing 4 per cent DA for the pensioners and state government employees the difference between the state and central employees still remained at 42%.

Yet the so called 'poores't CM expects extra time from the half paid deprived teachers even though Manik's close coterie looting hundreds of crores cenrtral funds like MGNREGA, RMSA, NHM etc.
