AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): After paying tribute to the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 147th birth anniversary, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy at said, “Mahatma Gandhi is the unique symbol for patriotism whom the people of India can never forget. India can never forget freedom fighters’ dedication for this country”. During media interaction Governor also expressing worries about the increasing terrorism threats in country & remembering about 18 victims of Indian Army, Roy said, “India has given the deserved answer to Pakistan. I fully agree with India Govt. for the step it took against Pakistani terrorists & my full support is with India Govt”. It’s worthy to mention here after 70 years of independence, India is not yet terror free. Killing of innocents by terrorists, attacks from neighboring countries, brutal murders of armies are horrifying the country everyday. The peace, non-violence—all these lessons do not work upon terrorists’ minds & in that situation although India tried to hold peace talks with Pakistan but there was no respite from Pakistan attacks on India for J&K land.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan was established on August 14th, 1947. A day later on August 15th, 1947, history witnessed the foundation of the independent Sovereign Republic of India. But the issue of partition and fight for lands on behalf of Pakistan never ended.

Massive killings continued since 70 years for Kashmir-land, which Pakistan claimed as their property. However, in 1999 also India secured its Kargil land  when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the PM. Then attacks from Pakistan continued although Pak PM kept on promising the India Govt. for no more violence from Pakistan side. But patience could not be held anymore, when 18 soldiers were brutally killed by Pakistani terrorists.

PM Modi spoke to the people of Pakistan & said, “Let us go to war against poverty, unemployment & see who wins”. Modi spoke directly to Pakistanis, telling them to ask their rulers why, at a time India was exporting software to the entire world, Pakistan was bent on exporting terrorism. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi country is now celebrating the revenge of 18 soldiers’ Killing,  taken against Nawaz Sarif led Pakistani militants.

Once more Tripura remembered the freedom fighters’ dedication on the occasion 2^nd Oct & Tripura Governor also while paying tribute to the Father of the Nation & expressed his pride to be this Nation’s son claiming that he is very satisfied with the step taken against Pakistan.

Congress, Trinamool & Tripura Govt officials also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Ghat.  A solidarity meeting was held at Circuit House by 2nd Oct Committee remembering Mahatma Gandhi’s message for Unity & peace. In other subdivisions also Mahatma Ganhdi was remembered on his 147^th birth anniversary.
