KAMALPUR, Aug 8 (TIWN): For years together, in the golden rule of the state, the state turned one of the safest corridors of contraband smuggling and human trafficking.
Several times, the cops and the security forces got success against such smuggling. But, due to some mysterious reasons no long term policy got adopted and the free flow remained intact. And the success of BSF yesterday at Ambassa also just added up to the list of successful raids.
110 Battalion BSF conducted a raid against AS-01-L-2569 Sherowali bus returning from Guwahati and seized Brown Sugar and Cannabis. They could not arrest the Brown Sugar carrier but nabbed the Cannabis carrier namely Ratan Sutradhar.
It got confirmed that the amount of Brown Sugar would be 238 gm. Now, this incident obviously demanded credit for the BSF. Police also could claim some credit as they helped the BSF. But what would be the impact of it remained the matter to be seen.
In past it was seen several times that after one or two successful raids police suddenly used to numb up. The security personnel also not showed enough interest in this matter.
And as a result, the free trade of contrabands increased to the extreme in the state. The state administration never seemed serious enough in the matter and it ultimately made the youth of the state towards destruction.
