Indo-Bangla meet held under Rotary : Bangladesh delegate says to be ‘indebted’ to Tripura, congratulates both countries for various construction projects after successful drive under BBIN car tally

AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): In a programme held by Rotary which is an international organization, comprises of 11 countries, an independent organization dedicated for various social works---which deals with various developmental projects including initiatives as BBIN car rally held in 2015, a Bangladesh delegate named Abul Hossain Chotton, President of Comilla Rotary Club said, ‘From river bridge construction to rotary club building, India has helped its neighboring country always’.

Hossain, who came with his 4 member of delegates said, ‘There are various projects held with the joint initiative of both the countries and without India’s help it was not possible for Bangldesh to participate in various projects’.

He also thanked Tripura to make a foreigner the Chief Guest of the Sukanta Academy’s programme, in the presence of same level of official (From India) in same dais.

However, he mentioned, there are various projects held in Bnagladesh under Rotary. These are such as : 1) Micro-credit (Where poor are helped with loan without interest), 2) Educational Project : where from Class 6 to University level scholarship are given to the poor, talents of that country, 3) Every week they held free medical checkups.

However, during the speech held by Biplab Haldar,  VC ICFAI he said, ‘There are various lack of service, or gap in Tripura by the state Govt., which are found in organizations like Abalamban. 50 old ladies live there, but they were as suffering from various crisis, then Rotary helped them somehow, but these things are examples of burning social issues, need to be taken care by some part of the society.

He also appreciated the young generation which he discovered in NIT, where students made a club named “We Can” !. He added, “NIT Students help the poor people, students of villages in study or other issue, they are the example of firing blood and such clubs as “We Can” really inspired me which is run by students”.

He further claimed that the toilet-project for Agartala which costs Rs. 8 crores was arranged around 1.5 crores of it  by Rotary.

ILS Director Aruna Tantia confirmed that ILS Hospital likes to offer its hospitality with free medical checkup for selected section of the society.

During the programme members mentioned about the car rally held in last years for Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and India. This is a Ministry of Road Transport & Highway Govt. of India & ministry of external affairs Govt. of India supported program to strength trade and commerce, friendship between the neighboring countries. This program was organized by Kalinga Motor Sports Club & associated by Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Heritage, RI District -3262.

However, Rotary members claimed for better social works in the coming days.
