AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Tourism, which is responsible for economical growth in a state, Tripura is lagging far behind to attract tourists in its tourist spots.

Tourism is not only meant to increase state’s glory but it arranges livelihood for the poor people in any state.

Tourism based business is very popular across the country.  Tripura although has many potentialities, but due to lack of utilization, state has remained just empty without any incoming money from tourists.

It’s not like that Tripura didn’t have any tourist spot, neither Tripura lacks places to draw tourists attention, but due to the half dead Tourism Minister here in state Ratan Bhowmik, who is acting just for namesake, the condition is deteriorating day by day.

Many tourist spots have been abolished already in Tripura, resulting from lack of maintenance.

Tripura could be considered huge source of Historical information, and if in an organized way Tripura govt. could look forward with historical details and providing guides to help tourists (as Tripura’s History according to Rajamala records Mahabharat’s story)-- it could really boost Tripura’s tourism in full fledged manner.

The main problem lies with Tripura that although state is taking initiative to create new tourist spots, but its historical spots are fully denied. However, Neermahal which received plenty of fund has got a new facelift.

Moreover, due to lack of business there is no proper resident or hotel available here in state.

In other words, the essence of tourism is missing everywhere from the state for tourists.

But once initiative is seriously taken, Northern state Tripura may hugely become popular from tourism.

As Pilak, Ujjayanta Palace,  Kamalasagar, Tripura Government Museum, State Museum, Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Gondacherra Wildlife Sanctuary, Kalapania Nature Park-------all these are enough to bring a tourist to state and to spend 3 / 4 nights in Tripura.
