UDAIPUR, Jan 16 (TIWN): State BJP President Biplab Deb and BJP's state observer Sunil Deodhar met Union HRD Minister Smriti Jubin Irani and submitted a memorandum demanding to set up a Kendriya Vidyalay at Udaipur, Gomati District. The two leaders met the Union Minister at her office in Delhi and appealed her to take initiative so that the school can start functioning from the next academic year starting from April.
It is to be mentioned here that during the recently concluded Civic Poll BJP promised to the people of Udaipur that whatever the outcome of the result might be BJP is committed to set up the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Udaipur. And soon after elected as state BJP President Biplab Deb rushed to Delhi and met the Union HRD Minister Smriti Jubin Irani.
Speaking to TIWN over phone Biplab Deb expressed that he is hopeful that the HRD Minister will respond promptly. He said," It was my commitment to the people of Udaipur that I will take initiative to set up Kendriya Vidyalaya at Udaipur. And I am fully aware of it and I am really sincere to fulfil my commitment. Hopefully people of Udaipur will soon get a get news in this regard."
