AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): The flyover construction has finally gained momentum at Melarmath. It is one of the spots where one part of the flyover will meet an end.

The pilling work for the construction of fly over at Melarmath has begun in full swing.  The construction work is underway and the progress of work shows that the pilling work will be completed in the given duration. With the aim to complete the construction work in the given deadline, fly over work has resumed in full swing. It is to be mentioned here that the pilling work has just began at Melarmath to complete the work in the given deadline. Iron frame structure for pillars is already set up with the help of steel and iron bars and cement concrete. With the ongoing days, it is seen that the work progress is gaining momentum and will be completed in the given duration.

The project was given to Hyderabad-based Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited through a national tender. Since they are already engaged in advanced construction work in Agartala like the NIT and others, the state government here flooring the tender had entrusted to undertake the work for building the flyover at the Agartala city.

With the construction of the flyover, vehicles from the Nagerjala bus stand will continue to ply on the same path which is expected to reduce the traffic congestion in the road.

The first ever 2-lane flyover in the capital city will lower the traffic jam and will make a smooth running of vehicles in the street.

The main motive of creating the Fly-Over Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problems arise in traffic system too.

The flyover, which would start from Drop Gate (Fire Service office), would touch Fire Brigade Chowmuhani via Battala. A subway of the fly over will be created up to Melarmath. As per the layout of the project, the Banayan tree and the temple at Battala will be remained untouched by the fly over

With the aim to meet the deadline for completing the fly over construction work is going on in speedy way.

However, with the half done construction work of the flyover at Battala the traffic chaos has gone high and with the extension of the work at Melarmath the traffic chaos is expected to go high in the coming days.
