KAMALPUR, Jan 5 (TIWN): The e-rickshaw pullers protested against the unruly behaviour of the auto drivers at Kamalpur. The tempted e-rickshaw pullers gathered at the Netaji Corner to resolve the problem. However, the matter was subsided after the initiative of the CITU leaders.

According to the e-rickshaw pullers, the auto drivers often rebuke them using slang languages in front of the passengers. Moreover, the auto drivers often used to threaten them with dire consequences if they continued to explore new areas. But they used to overlook those issues. But the situation reached its extreme today, as an auto driver along with others snatched passengers from an e-rickshaw at Maracharra market.

Receiving the news, the e-rickshaw pullers gathered at the Netaji Corner to resolve the matter. Meanwhile, receiving the news, the CITU leadership reached the spot and somehow managed the issue for time being. But if the matter not got resolved permanently, it might spark out some devastating issue in near future.

However, it got reported that, as the e-rickshaw pullers carry passengers at almost a half price of that of the auto, hence people now used to prefer e-rickshaws more. And this created the unrest here.
