AGARTALA, Dec 28 (TIWN): Aiming to meet the deadline of the completion of the flyover work, piling work of flyover begins in Battala. It is to be mentioned here that the area where the piling work is going on right now at Battala which is the turning point to Melarmath, this will be the end of the flyover bridge in the Battala sector. Iron frame structure for pillars are already set up with the help of steel and iron bars and cement concrete. It is to be mentioned here that a total of 65 pillars will be constructed for the first ever fly over which will connect from Drop gate to fire brigade Chowmuhani. Once the cement casting for the first pillar at Battala gets complete the construction work will be expanded towards Bordowali. The workers are working with full efficiency to finish the construction work in the given deadline. On the other hand, with the passing days the traffic jam is rapidly increasing in the narrow roads of Tripura creating huge chaos every time due to the construction work of the flyover. Although the state government has taken the initiative to construct a flyover to curb the traffic jam but it is seen that traffic chaos is rising in an alarming rate.

It has been observed that every time a huge chaos is witnessed with vehicles blocking the road and creating harassment for the public who have been move for work daily.

Apart from the construction work of the fly-over, unruly attitude of CITU leaders is also responsible for leading to this traffic jam.

Day after day even after strict instruction of the department to commute passengers from the Nagaerjala stand, the drivers still continues to load and unload passengers on the main road resulting traffic chaos in the city.

Increasing traffic jam in the construction area has only made the matters worse and made the spot an accident zone area for the commuters.

At any given point of time, it is utter chaos at the roundabout, which witnesses at least thousand vehicles crossing over the same road.

Besides, due to the construction work the roads are scarred with mud and sand particles all over creating problem for the common mass.

However, once flyover construction gets over, vehicles from the Nagerjala bus stand will continue to ply on the same path and with the vehicles plying on the flyover is expected to reduce the traffic congestion in the capital.

The first ever 2-lane flyover in the capital city may lower the traffic jam by at least 40% to 45% and it may make a smooth fast track movement of the vehicles but the period of the construction is creating havoc.

The main motive of creating the Flyover Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problem is arising in traffic system too.
