AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): Aiming to digitize the day to day registration process in the Labour Department, Minister for Minority Welfare and Labour Department Sahid Choudhuri on Tuesday inaugurated two website of the Labour Department.
Website for Labour Directorate and Online Registration for Tripura Building and other Construction Workers has been launched on Tuesdaywith an aim to benefit the people for time consumption.
It has been mentioned that the website for the Labour Directorate – www.labour.tripura.gov.in and the website for Welfare board istsu.trp.nic.in/tbocww.
During the programme, mentioning about the Asongothita Sramik Sahayika Project the officials mentioned that this project is a State Government Project. The labour ageing from 21-year to 55-year both male and female brought can be benefited under this project.
Besides, it has been mentioned that the labour comes under the umbrella of this project will have to earn more than Rs. 3, 500 monthly.
On the other hand, it has been informed that under the Tripura Nirman Sramik Kalyan Project the beneficiaries should be from 18- 21 years of age and should have worked for at least 90-day in the last year MGNREGA.
Labour Organization was first set up in Tripura in year 1951 under one Labour Officer.
However, this has been upgraded to Labour Directorate in 1965 under the control of Chief Labour Officer.
The Labour Commissioner started functioning as Head of Department since 1978. Subsequently, in 1982 the Organization of Factories and Boilers was separated from the Labour Directorate.
However, the welcome speech has been delivered by Labour Commissioner S. K Das and the demonstration on the website has been given by Rabindra Sarkar and other officials were present during the programme.
